Four active days of SPIEF-2024 have come to an end. During this time we had time to show in detail how neurotechnologies are created, to host the leading persons of the country at our booth, to discuss technological entrepreneurship in medicine and to tell hundreds of visitors about Sensor-Tech projects.
Within the framework of the Forum a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fund for the Support of the Deaf-Blind “So-Unity” was held. It was chaired by G.O. Gref, Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank. We told about the work of the Laboratory over the past year, our successes, achievements and difficulties.
Denis Kuleshov, Director of Sensor-Tech, spoke about the vector of development of both ELVIS implants:
– This year preclinical trials will be scaled up - our specialists will test ELVIS V for compatibility and safety, perform new surgeries on monkeys.
– Our cochlear implant was at the prototype stage a year ago, and now the director has already shown the trustees a live prototype. By the end of 2024, the team will have completed all the necessary tests on the prototype and will prepare the production for certification. In this case, it will take us the whole of the next year to register the medical device with Roszdravnadzor. And in 2026 it will be possible to perform the first ELVIS C installations to volunteers.

At the Board of Trustees, we showed for the first time in detail the actual process of creating the first Russian cochlear implant.
We welcomed hundreds of guests at the beautiful booth of the Foundation for the Support of the Deaf-Blind “So-Unity” and told them about our ELVIS line of neuroimplants. Many scientific and cultural figures were interested in the projects, including Valery Gergiev, General Director of the Bolshoi Theater, and musician Timati.
Over 21 thousand people from 139 countries took part in the Forum. The leading theme was technology development.
Participation in SPIEF-2024 is a great honor for us. Our team will continue to actively work on neuroimplants that will change the lives of millions of people with disabilities.
